Beijing (4N) - Cuandixia (Day) tour
Most Beijing tours are three nights allowing you to see most of the sights of Beijing. A four night stay will allow you to visit the picturesque old town of Cuandixia.
Minimum 2 persons.
Day 1
Beijing
Upon arrival at the stunning new Beijing Capital International Airport (built specially for the 2008 Olympics) and after clearing customs, your professional local English speaking guide will meet you in the Arrival Hall. With your guide, enjoy the views of Beijing CBD & the SOHO Business Street on your way to the hotel. After checking-in and freshening up, your guide will take you for a stroll of the area around your hotel - the famous Wanfujing Street. Visit the Snack street off Wanfujing street where where you can sample local delicacies before returning to your hotel.
Day 2
Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch, Show)
After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of Beijing visiting Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Drive along perhaps the most important street in Beijing - Chang an Avenue - and your guide will point out the National Grand Theatre and Ancient City Walls. After seeing how the nobility lived, partake of Jiaozi (steamed dumplings) for lunch in the company of a Chinese family. Later, enjoy a pedi-cab tour of the ancient courtyard houses called the Hutongs and the popular Houhai Lake Bar Street. After dinner, enjoy the exciting and dramatic Kung-fu show before returning to the hotel.
Day 3
Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch, special Dinner)
After breakfast at hotel, journey to the The Great Wall at Mutianyu. Stroll along this incredible wonder and enjoy the breathtaking view. After a late lunch at a good Chinese restaurant, return to Beijing to visit the tranquil Imperial gardens of the Summer Palace. In the evening, enjoy a delicious Peking Roasted Duck returning to your hotel.
Day 4
Beijing - Cuandixia - Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast at hotel, head out of the city to the oldest preserved ancient village near Beijing - Cuandixia village. Enjoy the scenic mountain view enroute and have lunch at a local farmer's house. Soak up the atmosphere of this peaceful little village before returning to Beijing in the evening.
Day 5
Beijing - next destination (Breakfast)
After breakfast, visit the holiest temple in Beijing - Temple of Heaven - used to offer sacrifice to the heavens by the Emperors in ancient times. After lunch and it is time to say goodbye to your Beijing guide as you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
